In this illustration, the goal was to depict the idea of overcoming an obstacle. I decided I wanted to add on the idea of making it focused on a younger audience as well. To make it appeal to children, I designed a very simple but colorful bug character that would appeal to a younger audience. Next, I put him on a tight rope over a cliffside holding two bags labeled “ifs” and “maybes” respectively. The entire illustration comes together to show determination, which then enables us to overcome obstacles.
