I Genuinely Hate You So Much

A work of poetry I am incredibly proud of. The context behind this piece is this: my car got hit one time while parked in a parking lot. It was just some scratches and the person who did it was very sorry and very sweet throughout the situation. As they were younger, their father was the one I talked to about getting payment for the damages. He was downright awful. As a way to vent about it, I printed out our entire text conversation and turned it into an erasure poem. I speak on both his terrible attitude as well as topics regarding low self-esteem throughout the poem.
